Signal 1 — Real demand
Look for steady monthly sales across the top 5–10 sellers, not a one-off spike. Consistent demand means predictable income.
Signal 2 — Low competition
Fewer sellers (ideally five or fewer) means room to rank. A page one full of weak listings is an opportunity.
Signal 3 — Beatable reviews
If the leaders have thousands of reviews, entry is hard. Look for products where you can compete on review count and rating.
Signal 4 — Healthy margin
After Amazon fees, product cost, shipping and ads, aim to keep 20–35% net margin.
Signal 5 — Easy logistics
Light, small, non-fragile products cost less in FBA fees and carry less risk. Avoid oversized, battery and heavily regulated items.
